The diet plan hucksters are out in full force.   Just the other day I watched with interest as a former celebrity assured the viewing audience that she was "just like you".   I don't think so, because if that were true?  You I would be the ones on tv, supplied with personal trainers, custom wardrobes, make up artists, and hair stylists.   And those before and after photos?  I have photoshop, too.

Why are we supposed to believe that we can lose more weight eating their frozen food than we can from cooking our own?  Portion control?  Hah.  As if no one on those diets has ever ripped open a second box of dessert and eaten it frozen (yes, it was tasty).   Yes, it's easy to just open a box and microwave it.  But it's easier to take a portion of what you've cooked everyone else.  Last night I made Lemony Marinated Flank Steak, Hearts of Palm Salad, and rice.  I did not eat the rice because I'm playing around with the good carb/bad carb premise.  The rest of my family and our company don't need to be subjected to my whims.   A serving of the rice and less salad were well within my plan (I play around with the combinations a lot), but I really like the salad.

Success is not granted by celebrity, success is achieved by commitment.
